They saved me — now I’m giving back.

Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been riding since I could walk and started seriously training horses around the age of 10 or 11. My first official project was an off-the-track Thoroughbred, and from there, I dove headfirst into the world of horse training. I quickly found myself drawn to the challenge and reward of working with untouched, misunderstood, and unhandled horses — especially mustangs.

I’ve wanted a BLM mustang since I was 11 years old, after discovering Sam VanFleet’s YouTube channel. Her journey with her mustang Malibu for the Extreme Mustang Makeover completely captivated me. I watched that story unfold, and something in my heart clicked into place. I started researching everything I could — how to gentle them, how the BLM program worked, and what made these horses so unique. That spark quickly grew into a deep passion for helping mustangs find trust in people and a purpose in life beyond the holding pens.

That dream came to life in 2021 when I trained a yearling for the Youth Mustang Mania(now called the Branded Bonanza) in Nampa, ID, hosted by Matt and Stacie Zimmerman. Since then, I’ve worked with multiple mustangs and feral pasture horses, including a 7-year-old BLM mustang I picked up from the Boise corrals in October of 2024, after winning him on the online auction in August of 2024. These horses have pushed me to be a better trainer — softer, more patient, and more attuned to the little things. Watching them transform from wild and wary to curious, confident, and willing is something I’ll never get tired of. It’s why I do what I do.

But this isn’t just about training horses — it’s about giving back to the animals who helped me survive the darkest parts of my life. When everything around me felt unstable, when the pain got too loud or the world felt like too much, it was a horse that grounded me. They didn’t ask questions. They didn’t judge. They just were — steady, strong, and present. Horses have held me through trauma, heartbreak, and healing, and I owe them everything.

That’s why I’ve poured myself into becoming the best I can be — for them. I’ve spent countless hours binging clinics, YouTube videos, and training sessions. I’ve read, studied, questioned, and worked under professional trainers. I’ve interned, taken lessons, and worked as an unpaid assistant trainer for a ranch versatility and cutting trainer — gaining hands-on experience with colts, tune-ups, seasoned show horses, and everything in between. Every lesson I’ve learned along the way has made me more mindful, more effective, and more compassionate.

I’ve also been showing since I was 7 years old, primarily in reining and reined cow horse — which gave me a strong foundation in feel, timing, and body control. Over the years, I’ve expanded into jumping, barrel racing, and trail shows, continuing to round out my skill set and understanding of what it takes to make a truly versatile, confident horse.

Today, I specialize in building trust-based foundations that help horses become willing, capable, and confident partners — no matter their background. Whether I’m working with a wild mustang or a finished show horse, my goal is always the same: to help them feel seen, safe, and understood.

Because I know what it’s like to be lost.
And I know the power of being found by a horse.
And I’ll never stop showing up to return the favor.
